Myth #7: "All I need are likes and followers."

“Likes ≠ Sales. Followers ≠ Customers.” Reach is not growth. It’s just part of the equation.

“How many likes did this post have?”

“How many followers did we gain this month?”

Understandable questions – but... not the right ones.

Because at the end of the day, you don't cover your expenses with likes, but with sales, leads, conversions, recommendations.

What are Vanity Metrics?

Impressive numbers that look nice, but don't show what's really going on.

  • Likes

  • Views

  • Shares

  • Follower count

If they are not connected to a strategic goal (awareness, lead gen, conversions), then they are just... noise.

Reality Check:

10 people interested in your brand are worth more than 1000 who are just scrolling.

The correct questions are:

  • What engagement rate do we have?

  • Were there any clicks?

  • Did they enter the site?

  • How many converted into leads or customers?

DAY ONE Insight:

Numbers have value – only when they lead somewhere.

At DAY ONE we measure what matters:

performance, impact, development.
